Dish Manager ("the App") is a recipe management and shopping list application. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information.

Data Collection and Storage

Dish Manager does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.

All data you create in the App — including recipes, ingredients, shopping lists, categories, and settings — is stored exclusively on your device using local storage (Hive database). This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to the developer or any third party.

Data You Create

• Recipes: Titles, descriptions, ingredients, and photos — stored locally on your device.
• Shopping lists: Item names, quantities, and units — stored locally on your device.
• Categories: Custom category names — stored locally on your device.
• Settings: Theme preference and language selection — stored locally on your device.
• Photos: Images you attach to recipes are stored as files on your device's local storage. The App accesses your camera or photo gallery only when you explicitly choose to add a photo.

Permissions

The App may request the following device permissions:

• Camera: Only when you choose to take a photo for a recipe. No images are uploaded or shared.
• Photo Gallery / Storage: Only when you choose to select an existing photo for a recipe. Access is limited to the image you select.

These permissions are requested only when needed and can be revoked at any time through your device's Settings.

Internet Access

The App does not require an internet connection and does not make any network requests. It functions entirely offline.

Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Children's Privacy

The App does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children. Since the App does not process personal data, no age verification is required. However, in accordance with Art. 8 GDPR, users under 16 years of age in Germany should use the App only with parental or guardian consent.

Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it at any time by:

• Deleting individual recipes, shopping list items, or categories within the App.
• Clearing the App's data through your device's Settings.
• Uninstalling the App, which removes all associated data.

Your Rights (GDPR)

As a user in the European Union, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR) — You have the right to request confirmation of whether personal data is being processed and to obtain a copy of it.
• Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR) — You have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal data.
• Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) — You have the right to request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
• Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) — You have the right to request restriction of processing of your personal data.
• Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) — You have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
• Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR) — You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data.

Since the App does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers, these rights are effectively exercised by you directly on your device. All data remains entirely under your control — you can view, edit, and delete it at any time within the App or by uninstalling it.

Right to Lodge a Complaint

In accordance with Art. 77 GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data infringes the GDPR. You may contact the supervisory authority in the EU Member State of your habitual residence, place of work, or place of the alleged infringement.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
